    1. This book is beautiful. I truly felt like I got to know Frida a lot better. There are loads of photos of her home, her desk, her studio, her wheelchair, her bed it's a big deal to get to see how someone lives. I also think the photos of Frida were gorgeous - to the point that I want to buy a few of them as prints to hang up in my room!My only objection to this book is that it should have been titled "Frida and Diego", because at least half (if not more) of the photos were of Diego Rivera. Which [...]

    2. This is a wonderfully rare and intimate glimpse into the last few years of Kahlo's life. You feel as if you're walking through her and Diego Rivera's house, Casa de Azul. However, it should have been a coffee table book. There are two-page spreads of photos and of Rivera's murals, somewhat diminished in a regular-sized book. In these photos you see Kahlo was a beautiful woman and how much pain she lived with. The emphasis is on the photographs and the text is not intrusive.

    3. Interesting story about Frida Kahlo from the point of view of Gisele Freund.Frida was a young girl when she became paralyzed. It really changed who she was and how he interacted with those around her. She became a painter and married an opinionated artist. This book is filled mostly with photographs of Frida and her husband Diego and their art. It was an interesting read and the photographs were beautiful.

    4. Disappointing. The photos are used multiple times (the sizes change so it's not noticeable at first). The text is excellent but there's not enough of it. A pretty picture book.
